|ALM Articles, Photos, and Advertising|
The United States Lifesaving Association seeks high quality articles, photographs, and artwork to appear in American Lifeguard Magazine. We welcome advertising from organizations interested in reaching our readers. Our readership is composed of athletic, beach oriented people who are primarily beach lifeguards and junior lifeguards. Our junior lifeguard members (our largest member category) range in age from 8 - 18, with an average age of 12. They are about 55% male, 45% female. Our lifeguard members (professional, alumnus, and life) range in age from 16 to over 85, with an average age of 29. They are about 80% male and 20% female. Our readership includes lifeguard agency chiefs, junior lifeguard program administrators, and others involved in purchasing decisions.
Articles: Appropriate article content would be that likely to be appreciated by a readership that is primarily composed of professional beach lifeguards, other open water rescuers, and junior lifeguards in the United States. Examples include stories on rescue, lifesaving equipment, public education, training, standards, new or enhanced lifesaving services, junior lifeguard programs, and lifesaving sport. We endeavor to balance our articles to ensure regional representation through the USA.
