Who May Participate: - Lifeguards who are members in good standing with the USLA / Southwest Region and who pay registration fees.
- If your agency does not pay for your membership, you can join or renew online then register for the event.
- USLA membership registration should be completed before event day.
Participation Fee: - Now - July 21: $45
- July 22: $65
- California Surf Lifesaving Championships t-shirts available onsite: $15
Registration Information: - Online registration is now open for individuals to register. For teams wishing to pay for their competitors, please email webmaster@usla.org.
- Competitors will be given access to a web page to individually log in and select events up to the minute before an event is closed and heats are ready to be drawn for an event. All participants registering for 2023 California Surf Lifesaving Championships are required to preregister for the events they would like to compete. Ages are determined by your age on event start date.
- Open and Age Group single competitor event selections and event drops are finalized and closed at 7:00 AM on Saturday July 22, 2023.
- All Lifeguards will manage their own single competitor events. Team events are managed by your Team Captain and are marshalled on the sand when the event is called.
- All Single Competitor Heats will be posted on: http://lifeguardregionals.com

Key Information: - Masters Age Groups - Men & Women:
30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+ - Individual event Open & Age Group Heats & Finals may be combined to be run with 32 persons maximum per heat for Swim & R-S-R, all other events using Surfcraft with 16 persons maximum per heat maximum
- 4 teams per Chapter maximum for: Taplin Relay, Board Relay, Board Rescue, Rescue Race
- Events may be cancelled at the officials' discretion due to time constraints or safety issues.
