Who May Participate:

• Lifeguards who are members in good standing with the USLA / Southwest Region and who pay registration fees.
• Each individual must be a Professional, Life or Alumnus member of a USLA chapter lifeguard service. Associate Members are not eligible to compete.
• If your agency does not pay for your membership, you can join or renew online then register for the event.
• 2025 USLA membership registration should be completed before event day.

Participation Fee:

• Now - July 23 (Midnight Eastern Time): $45
• July 24 - 26 (Eastern Time): $75

Event Registration Information: 

• For teams wishing to pay for their competitors, please email webmaster@usla.org.
• All participants registering for 2025 CSLSA Championships are required to pre-register for the single competitor events they would like to compete. Ages are determined by your age on event day.
• Open and Age Group single competitor event selections are finalized and closed at 8:00 PM PT, Wednesday July 23, 2025. You will be able to join events after this date/time and will have to report to the course official to let them know that you want to compete in an event at the time of the event.
  • Competitors under 30 will be able make your selections based on specific open events.
  • Age group competitors will make generic selections based on the event they would like to compete. For example, by selecting Age Group Surf Race, you will automatically be registered by your age group and your gender.
  • All team events, including surf boat, will be marshalled when the event is called and will be managed by your team captain.

Key Information

• Masters Age Groups - Men & Women:
  30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
• Individual event Open & Age Group Heats & Finals may be combined to be run with 32 persons
  maximum per heat for Swim & R-S-R. All other events using Surfcraft with 16 persons per heat.
• Maximum of 4 teams per Chapter for Team and Relay events: Board Rescue Race, Rescue
  Race, Taplin Relay, Board Relay, Surfski Relay, Beach Relay, Landline Rescue Race
• Events may be cancelled at the officials' discretion due to time constraints or safety issues.
