The Winter South Atlantic Region Meeting and Education Session will be hosted by the JAX Beach Lifeguards on January 24th, 2015, at the historic Jacksonville Beach Lifeguard Headquarters. The educational session will be led by 16 year veteran JAX Beach lifeguard Dr. Andrew Schmidt. He will lead a discussion on pre hospital treatment of the drowning patient and C-Spine injury management. Following the education session, the official SALA Regional Meeting will begin at 4pm.

The Winter South Atlantic Region Meeting and Education Session will be hosted by the JAX Beach Lifeguards on January 24th, 2015, at the historic Jacksonville Beach Lifeguard Headquarters. The educational session will be led by 16 year veteran JAX Beach lifeguard Dr. Andrew Schmidt. In addition to his lifeguard duties, Dr. Schmidt is an Emergency Room physician in the Trauma Center at UF Health Center in Jacksonville. Finally, Dr. Schmidt is also the founder of Lifeguards Without Borders. He will lead a discussion on pre hospital treatment of the drowning patient and C-Spine injury management.
Following the education session, the official SALA Regional Meeting will begin at 4pm.

All SALA Chapters and members are encouraged to attend.
